ADVANCED REPORT WRITINGJoin Scott Kern in this three-day session to learn how to access data with the Microsoft® Query Tool and how to create reports with the information you want to see using Microsoft® Excel. We’ll start off with an explanation of the FOUNDATION Database structure and review how and where to find data within tables, as well as how the tables relate to the FOUNDATION entry screens.
The session will start with a review of simple lists and historical data, then continue on to more advanced reporting from the Job Cost, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll Modules.
Scott will also show you how to use advanced formulas in Excel, including vlookups, sumifs, and countifs. Finally, you’ll learn about the advanced functionality of Excel, including Tables, Pivot Tables, and Slicers, and how to organize and optimize data reporting in Excel. This includes how to turn spreadsheets into automated reports using Macros, enabling and editing Macros to replace redundant tasks within a workbook, using a query from Foundation to edit and manipulate data in Excel, then preparing and exporting the data in a format compatible with FOUNDATION’s import functionality.
