Chief Revenue Officer
As Chief Revenue Officer, Steve is responsible for strategic market planning, as well as continual revenue and new business growth, for the Foundation Software and Payroll4Construction.com family of companies.
He invests most of his time building relationships across the construction industry with contractors, CPA firms, associations and technology partners. In this way, Steve also bridges the companies’ sales, marketing and product development teams with the most current industry trends and client needs. Over the last 22 years, he’s led more than 1,000 software selections and implementations for contractors of numerous sizes and trades.
Steve began at Foundation Software in 1999 with marketing and sales before diving into FOUNDATION‘s real-world use as a client support representative and field trainer. He later launched and managed Foundation’s West Coast operations out of California, where his leadership and on-the-ground work made the Golden State one of the company’s largest regions today. After successfully establishing Foundation’s presence on the Pacific, Steve returned to lead the company’s sales department and received an appointment to the executive team in 2017.
Regional Sales Manager
As an outside sales representative and regional sales manager, Tom works extensively with a wide variety of contractors, honing in on their specific needs and showing them how FOUNDATION can help improve their business. While his general day includes traveling to meet potential clients, demoing the software and attending tradeshows, his real work involves being a FOUNDATION expert.
With 6 years in sales and 13 years of experience with the system, Tom knows both the industry and the software inside and out. To date, he’s worked with nearly 1,000 clients, performed close to 1,000 software implementations, attended over 20 tradeshows and is able to address any questions a potential client might have.
Tom started at Foundation Software in 2007 as client services representative before moving on to become a field trainer, where he spent seven years helping over 300 clients implement FOUNDATION.
Senior Inside Sales Representative
As an inside sales representative with nearly 20 years’ experience, Brent works to help contractor’s better understand everything FOUNDATION can do, and, more importantly, what it can do for them. With over 10,000 sales calls on record and over 50 tradeshows attended, he’s able to quickly key into a contractor’s pain points, hear what they might not be saying and understand the specific needs of their company.
His typical day includes qualifying potential clients, handling sales inquiries and scheduling live demos for the outside sales team. To date, he has facilitated around 3,000 sales demos to potential clients.
Brent started at Foundation Software in November 2001 as an inside sales representative before becoming a senior inside sales representative just five years later. For the last 19 years he’s been an integral part of the Foundation Software sales team.
Senior Inside Sales Representative
Now in his 20th year in sales, Frank works extensively with a wide variety of contractors to help them not only understand everything FOUNDATION can do, but what it can do for them specifically. Though his typical day includes qualifying potential clients, handling sales inquiries and scheduling live demos for the outside sales team. His real work involves being an industry expert — keying into a contractor’s pain points — no matter their specialization — and hearing what they might not be saying.
To date, he has facilitated around 3,000 software implementations to potential clients, taken over 100,000 sales calls and attended nearly 30 tradeshows.
Frank started at Foundation Software in August 2000 as an inside sales representative, before becoming a senior inside sales representative in 2006.
Regional Sales Manager
Now in his 8th year as a regional sales manager, Garett oversees the continued growth and welfare of Foundation Software and Payroll4construction clients across the state of Illinois and the surrounding region. He’s worked with a wide variety of contractors over the years, helping them identify the specific needs of their company and where FOUNDATION can fill those gaps. He typically divides his time between traveling to meet potential clients, demoing the software and attending tradeshows.
To date, he’s performed nearly 2,000 software implementations, attended over 50 tradeshows and worked with more than 3,000 clients nationwide.
Garett began his career with Foundation Software in 2001 as a client services representative, eventually working his way to manager of Foundation Software’s sister company, Payroll4Construction, before taking on his current role.
Regional Sales Manager
Now in his 20th year at the company and 15th year in sales, Patrick has worked closely with thousands of contractors — honing in on their specific needs and showing them how FOUNDATION can help improve their business. As a regional sales manager, his day includes traveling to meet potential clients, demoing the software and attending tradeshows; however, his real work involves being a FOUNDATION expert.
To date, he’s performed nearly 3,000 software demonstrations, attended over 100 tradeshows and is able to quickly address any questions a potential client might have.
Patrick began his career with Foundation Software in 2000 as a client services representative, before transitioning into a role as a client services field trainer, where he was responsible for setting up system installations, training new clients on software usage, assisting with ongoing software support and providing advanced client training and consulting services. In 2005, he moved to Texas to run one of Foundation Software’s satellite offices, cultivating sales and maintaining client relationships until 2013 when he moved into his current role as a regional sales manager.
Inside Sales Representative
As an inside sales representative with 10 years of overall sales experience with FOUNDATION, John works to help contractor’s better understand everything FOUNDATION can do, and, more importantly, what it can do for them. His typical day includes qualifying potential clients, handling sales inquiries and scheduling live demos for the outside sales team.
To date, he has facilitated around 2,000 sales implementations to potential clients, and has over 5,000 sales calls on record. This experience enables him to quickly key into a contractor’s pain points, and find solutions that meet the specific needs of their company.
John first started at Foundation Software in 2013 as an entry level marketer, before transitioning to inside sales in Payroll4Construction. Shortly thereafter, in 2015, he moved into his current role as an inside sales representative for Foundation Software.
Client Sales Specialist
As a client sales specialist, Denise helps advise existing clients on the best additional modules and services for their company, schedules software implementations and helps clients convert over to FOUNDATION Hosted. Now in her 21st year in sales and 26th year with the company, she’s aided thousands of contractors in identifying the specific needs of their business, where they can improve, and how FOUNDATION can get them there.
To date, she’s performed nearly 200 FOUNDATION hosted conversions, taken over 80,000 sales calls and knows both the industry, the client base and the software inside and out.
Denise first began her career at Foundation Software in 1994 when she was still in high school. At that time, she worked as a receptionist where she helped answer client questions, managed incoming and outgoing calls, took messages and processed software updates via floppy disk. In 1998, she moved into a role as a marketing assistant — helping create potential mailers, organizing client lists, coordinating tradeshows and more. Shortly thereafter, she utilized this experience to move into the role of sales coordinator, where she processed the purchases of new sales, webinars, and additional products and services for Foundation Software and Payroll4Construction. During her 12 years in this role, she also created and reviewed legally-binding contracts, addendums, mutual releases and agreements, and acted as a resource and point of contact for new clients.
Client Sales Specialist
As a client sales representative, Derek works with existing clients to help teach and advise them on new products and services — whether one-on-one or in group webinars. Now in his 5th year in sales and 15th year with the company, he’s aided thousands of contractors in identifying the specific needs of their business, where they can improve, and how FOUNDATION can get them there.
To date, he’s performed over 3,000 demos, attended nearly 30 tradeshows and knows both the industry, the client base and the software inside and out.
Derek began in the Client Services Department in 2005 as a support representative before transitioning to the role of field trainer. As a client services field trainer, he organized and ran pre-implementation meetings with clients, assisted in the initial setup of new accounting systems, trained new users, and assisted with ongoing software support.
Consulting Sales Specialist
As a consulting sales specialist, Julie helps ensure that clients not only fully understand how to work effectively within FOUNDATION but that they are getting the maximum utilization out of the software for their company.
In addition to working directly with clients to understand their goals and matching them with ideal consultants, she spends her time gathering and analyzing data to find ways to improve the services Foundation Software provides.
To date she has scheduled over 8,000 hours of consulting.
Julie began her career early in 2017 as a client services representative, where she helped answer client questions and resolve software-related issues. Shortly after this, she parlayed her experience in client services into a role as a field trainer, where she worked with clients on pre-implementation, the setup of new account system installations, training on software usage and ongoing software support.
CPA Liaison
As a CPA liaison for Foundation Software, Chris builds partnerships within the Construction CPA Community and keeps CPAs informed of what’s going on at Foundation Software and throughout the industry. She also hosts educational conferences for CPAs, where they can learn more about FOUNDATION and earn CPE credits.
To date, she has helped host 11 CPA conferences for over 350 CPAs from 160+ firms and 40 different states.
Chris started at Foundation Software in 2003 as a part-time telemarketer before moving into the inside sales team. Then, in 2005, she began working more closely with CPAs, researching how Foundation Software could serve them better, which eventually blossomed into the CPA liaison position.
CPA Liaison
As a CPA liaison, John is vital in introducing firms with a construction emphasis to Foundation Software and its products — chiefly FOUNDATION® construction accounting software and payroll processing service Payroll4Construction. He also works to help connect CPAs with continuing education and training opportunities.
John first began his relationship with Foundation Software over 20 years ago, building up a young CICPAC organization from a small group of firms into a national network serving over 11,000 contractors.
He served as national president of Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) and founding president of its Valley of the Sun Chapter (Phoenix), receiving numerous awards in the process. He is a current member of AICPA Construction Industry Conference Committee, Journal of Construction Accounting and Taxation advisory board, and alliantgroup’s Strategic Advisory Board.
Outside Sales Representative
As a national sales representative for Payroll4Construction, Jim works with contractors to fully explain the benefits of outsourcing their payroll and how a construction-specific provider, like Payroll4Construction, can easily handle their processing taxes and reporting tasks. Now, in his 10th year with sales, he has been a part of nearly 2,000 selection and implementation processes with clients nationwide.
To date, he has also taken close to 100,000 sales calls, attended over 50 tradeshows and is able to quickly answer any questions a potential client might have.
Jim started at Payroll4Construction.com in 2010, bringing with him both industry experience as a mason and sales knowledge as an insurance agent.
Inside Sales Representative
As an inside sales representative, Linda is the first contact for many prospective Payroll4Construction clients, taking sales calls, emails, and following up on any potential leads. Now in her 13th year at the company and 4th year in sales, she has utilized her experience within both FOUNDATION and Payroll4Construction to help potential clients understand the difference construction-specific software and services can make for their company.
To date, she has facilitated over 1,000 software implementations to potential clients and taken over 100,000 sales.
Linda started working at Foundation Software in September of 2007 as a cold caller in the marketing department. However, she soon shifted into a hybrid position between marketing and sales as a cold caller/inside sales representative where she helped resurrect cold leads. Eventually, her work aligned so much with sales that she transitioned fully into an inside sales position for Foundation Software. In December of 2019, she took her experience to Payroll4Construction as an inside sales representative.
Outside Sales Representative
As a new outside sales representative, Andrew utilizes his past experience as a support representative and an implementation specialist for both Foundation Software and Payroll4Construction to hone in on potential clients’ needs. While his general day includes running live demonstrations of the payroll service, his real role involves working with contractors to see where Payroll4Construction can help improve their business.
Although Andrew recently transitioned to sales from training, he has already performed over 50 demonstrations and helped train numerous clients on the software in addition to the hundreds of clients he worked with as a member of support.
Andrew started at Payroll4Construction as a shipping coordinator, where he helped package checks and direct deposit stubs for clients and frequently assisted the sales and marketing team with various tasks. A short time later he transitioned into a role as a Payroll4Constrution and Foundation Software support representative, where he took support calls for both Foundation Software and Payroll4Construction clients. From there, he became a Foundation Software implementation specialist and aided clients in transitioning onto FOUNDATION.
