Foundation Software to Double Northeast Ohio Footprint, Add 185 Positions

Growing family business expands again in Strongsville

December 17, 2018 | STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — Foundation Software, a fast-growing Inc. 5000 company and family-owned national business, has announced plans to invest $9.5 million in expanding its presence in Strongsville.

Foundation Software provides job cost accounting, project management and mobile software and services tailored to the construction industry. Founded in 1985, the company has grown, on average, 20 percent annually since 2010, consequently outgrowing its Strongsville headquarters location. It will not only expand its current facility, which it shares with sister company Payroll4Construction.com, but also add at least 185 new positions over the next five years in addition to retaining its current 298 employees.

“I admit, we’ve been tripping over ourselves,” Fred Ode, founder and CEO/chairman said. “Since stepping out of the recession we’ve sprinted into eight straight years of accelerated, organic growth. When we first moved into our current campus, we were just at 35% capacity and thought we found our home for at least the next decade. That was four years and a second building ago. But while we don’t plan on slowing down, it’s important this area stays home to us.”

An economic development team at the local, regional and state level worked with Foundation Software to help make this project possible by providing access to people, information and resources.
